Reminiscing about my old favorite songs.....*soft sigh*

I'm currently studying for my finals so music is a big must for me(not that music doesn't play an important part in my life the rest of the time because HELLO!! My obsession with Kelly Clarkson!!) Anyway I was watching YouTube and I saw some videos from this early 90's Hong Kong rock band Beyond (whom I positively adore when I was younger). So I saw some live clips from the and I was singing along. The next thing I know I was searching for all their songs in my old collection and it's now three days later and I've only been listening to them and Jacky Cheung(another singer I love back when I was younger.... actually I only love two songs from him). I mean I haven't been listening to Kelly Clarkson for three days and I think that's like the first time in 2 years!! As for Beyond it's sad that their lead singer, Wong Ka Kui passed away in 1993 due to an incident in Japan while recording a Japanese TV Game show. It's really a pity because he really brought something different to the Hong Kong music industry..... I really love his songs.....they really touched my heart when I was younger and even now I'm still singing loudly to their songs......As much as I love Kelly I haven't heard a song where I cried while listening and singing along to it. Actually I have but it's not the way I cried while I listened to Beyond's "Hoi fuet tin hong" which translates to Broad Skies and Seas. I mean I wasn't crying because I thought about my past loves or even my own life. I was crying because I felt so sad about Wong Ka Kui's death and I was crying for the loss of the band and Hong Kong's music industry. I think that was the first time I cried over something that has nothing to do with me.
Here are some videos I saw on YouTube the last song wasn't sung by Wong Ka Kui but his brother Wong Ka Keong. But it IS originally sung by Ka Kui. One can really see how sad he was.....These are my three favorite songs by Beyond.
1. Amani live (this song is about peace. It means something like I love peace)
2. Zhen Dek Ngoi Nie (Really Love this song!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
3. Hoi Fuet Tin Hong (Words can't express how much I love this song!! This is the music video)
4. Hoi Fuet Tin Hong 1993 (This is sung by Ka Kui's brother Ka Keung. This is after he passed away. I cried after I watched this video even though it has no ending...what a pity)
5. Hoi Fuet Tin Hong 1996 concert (this is also sung by Ka Keong really sad you can see him cry....... feel like crying myself when I watched it)

In conclusion...... Beyond rocks!!!! Even though Wong Ka Kui passed away his music and spirit will live on forever!!!!!!!!!!! I believe ten years from now I will still love Beyond's songs!!
