I'm seriously elated with my darling Kelly's success right now!! She just made history on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart with the largest leap to no.1 position in the history of the chart!! She made a HUGE jump from no.97 to no.1 after just one week. She sold 280,000 digital downloads giving her the number 1 position in the Billboard Hot Digital Songs!! That's HUGE news (for me at least)!! Though I have to admit I'm a little less than pleased with the way some people are comparing this success with the less than successful sales of My December... Ok... that album was definitely not really pop friendly and it probably didn't fit with the current crop of music that is being churned out by Kelly's 'peers' but I believe the relative failure of 'My December' is due to the whole Clive Davis issue which was seriously blown WAY out of proportion!! God!! Just because of that, Kelly so did NOT get the promotion and support she deserves!! Thank God Clive is out of the picture!! Anyway I digress so.... a huge YAY for Kelly!! I'll sleep well tonight! For a brief moment I didn't think the song will do that well maybe because it's not really my favorite Kelly song but I have to say after listening to the song and watching the video like 300 times, I actually LOVE the song now!! I guess it just grows on me and it does help that Kelly looks really cute in the video!!
