Kate Winslet won big at the 2009 Golden Globe Awards!! Yay for her!!

I've always been a fan of Kate Winslet's work. I'm so happy she won 2 Golden Globes for Best Actress in Motion Picture Drama and Best Supporting Actress in Motion Picture!! Whoo!! She deserves it!! She should win an Oscar this year too!! It's high time after like 5 nominations! Anyway... I think I can safely say I've watched most of her movies but I may be wrong... Let's see her filmography courtesy of IMDB ( This is the first time I've actually counted how many of her movies I've watched. By the way, I'll only be counting the movies she'd acted in. No TV or guest roles):-

• Heavenly Creatures (1994): Watched it and love Kate's acting in it but the movie was never one of my favorites. I think it's like the 2nd Peter Jackson movie I had ever watched. The first one was 'The Frighteners'.
  
• A Kid in King Arthur's Court (1995): Haven't watched it yet but if I can find the movie I'll definitely watch it.
• Sense and Sensibility (1995): Watched it and loved it even though it was an Ang Lee movie and I was never a big fan of his. Actually I never really liked the book either but I do love Kate's portrayal of Marianne Dashwood and having Alan Rickman in the movie is always a plus for me!!
• Jude (1996): Liked it but I didn't love it. Watched it once a few years ago.
• Hamlet (1996): Never was a fan of the story but the movie rocks due to the all-star celebrity cameos like Robin Williams, Billy Crystal , Judi Dench etc.
• Titanic (1997): Now I think I can say most people (including myself) had watched the movie and I can name offhand like 20 females who love the movie so much they still watch it regularly.
• Hideous Kinky (1998): Watched it once only but I can't seem to find the movie now. Would like to watch it again.
• Faeries (1999): A movie albeit and animated one with Kate Winslet and Jeremy Irons (yummy older man!!) How can I not watch it!!
• Holy Smoke (1999): Haven't watch it yet. Will love to if I can do it without resorting to buying from Amazon.
• Quills (2000): Ooh I loved the movie even though that kind of movie never really appealed to me but Geoffrey Rush as Marquis de Sade was brilliant in it!! Of course Kate was good too in fact most of the cast was brilliant!!
• War Game (2001): Did not know of this movie until now. Will try to find and watch it.
• Enigma (2001) : Never watched it.
• Christmas Carol the Movie (2001): Yes!! She even sang in the soundtrack!! 'What if' is definitely a good song and it definitely fits the movie. She's no Kelly but hey she's not a singer and it's not like Kelly can even think of competing with her in terms of acting! (Sorry Kelly! As much as I love Kelly it's undeniable that Kate is an incredible actress!)
• Iris (2001): Ooh!! She's really good in it and Judi Dench is brilliant!! No wonder she's a Dame (Judi I mean)! I hope Kate will get that title one day too!
• Plunge the Movie (2003): I had NO idea about this movie until I read her IMDB page thoroughly.
• The Life of David Gale (2003): Never watched it though I know it has Kevin Spacey in it and it's a story about capital punishment or something like that.
• Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind (2004): Awesome movie!! Awesome acting by Kate and I love it even though it starred Jim Carrey. For once he's not being all stupid funny in it. Kate should have won an Oscar for her role!
  
• Finding Neverland (2004): Johnny Depp and Kate Winslet in the same movie together... How can I NOT watch the movie and love it!! Never loved the Peter Pan story but I love the movie!!
• Romance and Cigarettes (2005) : Watched it because of Kate and Susan Sarandon. Didn't love it but it's Ok.
• Little Children (2006) : Love the movie!! Again Kate should have won an Oscar for it but she was up against Helen Mirren and Helen was awesome in 'The Queen'!
  
• All the King's Men (2006): Watched it because of Jude Law and Kate. Aah...whatever happened to Jude's career and good looks??
• Flushed Away (2006): Hugh Jackman and Kate Winslet in a movie together is definitely something I would watch but sadly it's an animated film and not live action.... So no ogling Hugh.... Boo...Still love the movie though.
• The Holiday (2006): She and Jack Black are the bright spots in the movie. As gorgeous as Cameron Diaz and Jude Law are, the chemistry between Kate and Jack were brilliant! A light fluffy movie for the holidays.
• The Reader (2008): Have not watched it! Trying to find a genuine download for it!! Argh!! I wanna watch it!! Ralph Fiennes is in it!! I love him especially in 'The English Patient'!!
• Revolutionary Road (2008): Can't wait for this film to be released so I can watch her awesomeness (is that even a word??) Can't wait to watch Kate and Leo in a film together again!!

Wow!! I've watched like 17 out of 25 movies she starred in!! I never knew it was this many!! Hmmm... I must really like her... But she's a great actress and she has been nominated for an Oscar like 5 times and she's like not even 33 years old!! I'm 99% sure she'll be nominated again for either 'The Reader' or 'Revolutionary Road'!! I'm waiting with bated breath for the Oscar nominations to be announced! Hope this year is her lucky year!
