Okay so I bought a bunch of movies last weekend and I finally decided to watch along with a couple of movies I bought quite some time ago. Let's see my list of movies:-
1. Night at the Museum
2. Charlotte's Web
3. Da Vinci Code
4. Kraken: Tentacles of the Deep
5. Wicked Little Things
"Night At the Museum"
Well "Night at the Museum" stars Ben Stiller, Robin Williams and other comedians. I actually find the movie quite interesting and that's a first for me because I've never liked any and I do mean ANY of his movies. I think one of the factors is partially because being an imaginative girl I used to imagine things coming to life in museums and I dreamed of finding them out. I know it's stupid and a little pathetic but hey I have my moments of weaknesses. Anyway I'm not going to talk about the story but about how I felt after and during the movie itself. To tell you the truth this isn't my first time watching the movie. I actually watched in the cinema and found it rather hilarious at times and a very annoying the rest of the time. Now the second time I find it less annoying and a little more funny mainly because I'm watching from the comfort of my own room. I was munching on an apple and wondering why the hell didn't I get popcorn instead of sympathizing at Ben Stiller trying to get his son to think he's not a loser. For some people that's a bad sign that the movies sucks ass but for me it's just me having short attention span. So in summary I liked the movie mainly because of Owen Wilson and that British sounding Roman soldier whose names escapes me. However I must stress that even though I hate Ben Stiller I find him less annoying than in his other movies.
"Charlotte's Web"
Hmm... this movie is actually rather disappointing mainly because I tuned out after just ten minutes which is rather strange because I loved the book and I still do and I was actually looking forward to watching this. Maybe I shouldn't blame the cast because honestly Dakota Fanning is really cute and there's probably nothing wrong with the direction of the movie. So what the hell was my problem? I honestly don't know. Maybe I just wasn't in the mood for a children's movie after watching "Night at the Museum". Therefore I cannot really comment or bitch about the movie because I didn't really watch. I mean halfway through the movie I was actually reading this book I recently bought. * Sigh* I will watch the movie again and hopefully this time I can actually WATCH the movie and not do other stuff.
"Da Vinci Code"
Ah.... What can I say about this movie that most people haven't say. Frankly I don'r really care what they said. I just know I prefer the book. As much as I love Tom Hanks I frankly don't care for his portrayal. Nuff' said.
"Kraken: Tentacles of the Deep"
This is a sea-monster movie which positively screams C grade!! Ugh!! It's so freaking boring. The female lead Victoria Pratt may spend like three quarters of the movie in a bikini but I ain't a guy. I can only gawk at a hot body for so long before I feel even more insecure about my physical appearance than BEFORE I watched the movie. I love monster movies but for this particular movie I just didn't like it and I doubt I ever will. I think it's mostly the story itself. A Greek myth is associated with the Giant Squid but it's so weird that the movie title has the word Kraken in it but the word kraken was never once uttered in the movie itself. (at least to my recollection) But hey if any of you out there loves it well to each it own.
"Wicked Little Things"
Ahh!!!!!! What the fuck is wrong with me!!!! I so made a mistake buying this movie. I thought it was a horror movie but it turned out to be some sort of a ghost-zombie hybrid movie (look at the picture above which just cements my moments of idiocy) However in defence when I bought the movie it didn't have the word zombie in it. It just said a widow and her two daughters moved into an old house her husband left her. She finds out some disturbing stuff. Ugh!! This just shows I can't impulse buy movies anymore. Because that's what I did... I impulsively bought that "Kraken" movie and this and it more than disappointed me.
DAMN!! THIS IT IT!! I'm sticking to TV series of course I don't actually watch those on TV. I download them and I recently downloaded "America's Next Top Model" Cycle 1. Will be watching it tomorrow. And I am so a hero!! I have all seventeen seasons of "The Simpsons". It took me the better part of 6 months but I DID it!! I will download Season 18 when it's complete. I honestly can't wait for the movie!!*Waiting with bated breath* Of course on top of my stuff I'm anticipating list, it still is the release of Kelly Clarkson's new album "My December".
